Dental X-Ray Sensor Production
TowerJazz of Migdal Ha’Emeq,
Israel, and !%e2v Technologies plc%! of Chelmsford, UK, have announced that e2v has
increased the rate of production of its dental x-ray sensors, which incorporate
TowerJazz’s 0.18-μm CMOS image sensor technology. The companies will
work to create a new generation of system-on-chip sensors that benefit from high
image quality and advanced levels of integration and embedded capabilities. Replacing
conventional x-ray film, dental intraoral x-ray sensors provide dentists with an
instant digital image on a screen rather than on film that must be developed.
