!%TrueVision Systems Inc.%! of Santa Barbara, Calif., has received
510(k) clearance from the FDA to market the TrueVision 3D Visualization and Guidance
System for image-guided ophthalmic surgery. The new system combines the current
TrueVision 3D Visualization System running TrueWare 3D Imaging OS with the new proprietary
software tool, the TrueVision Refractive Cataract Toolset. Computer-aided surgical
guidance is provided during procedures such as capsulorhexis, toric intraocular
lens positioning and corneal limbal relaxing incisions to correct astigmatism. Pre-
and postoperative 3-D image capture is enabled using the new TrueVision platform
in conjunction with slit-lamp biomicroscopes.
