RIO Reports Strong Q1 Revenue Growth

Low-noise semiconductor laser and subsystem manufacturer Redfern Integrated Optics Inc. (RIO) has announced that its product revenue in the first quarter of 2011 increased 33 percent over the fourth quarter of 2010.

The increase marks the company’s 11th consecutive quarter of strong revenue growth since the launch of a laser line based on proprietary planar external cavity laser technology.

The company also announced that its telecom-grade laser technology, product design, and stringent qualification and quality assurance systems have contributed to the success of the laser product line. It has surpassed 4 million cumulative device hours with no field returns.
