Microscopy mode won the Pittcon 2011 Editor’s Gold Award for the most outstanding
new product at this year’s conference and exhibition, which was held in March
in Atlanta. The True Surface Microscopy technology allows confocal Raman imaging
guided by surface microscopy. It follows surface topography with high precision
so that, during confocal Raman imaging, even rough or inclined samples stay in focus.
The product was selected by a panel of 150 editors registered at Pittcon. Based
in Ulm, Germany, WITec manufactures optical and scanning probe microscopy systems.
