IntraLase Corp. Closes Third Round of Financing
ANN ARBOR, Mich., Sept. 23 -- IntraLase Corp., a developer of femtosecond lasers used in vision correction and therapeutic eye surgery, announced the closing of a $7.5-million round of venture capital financing. The funding was led by Brentwood Venture Capital and Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Enterprise Development Fund, and was financed entirely by return investors.
The continued support of our primary investors, Brentwood Venture Capital and Enterprise Development Fund, is a strong vote of confidence. These funds will be used to complete product development of IntraLase's femtosecond laser technology for refractive surgical applications and our clinical evaluation of these procedures preparing for product introduction, said Randy Alexander, president and CEO of IntraLase.
