AFL Acquires TCC Group

Fiber optic test equipment supplier AFL has signed an agreement to acquire telecommunications and network implementation and integration provider TCC Group of Bracknell, England, it announced recently.

TCC Group will join the AFL global portfolio to provide communications services to the European market. Its founder will remain with the company to ensure a seamless transition for TCC customers. The company will continue to operate from its facilities around the UK.

The acquisition is expected to enhance the US company’s engineering, material logistics and installation capabilities, enabling it to expand and serve telecommunications companies in Europe, it said. In addition, it will expand its capability to provide customers with copper and fiber technology services from the switch site to the customer premise.
