NEN, GSI Lumonics to Market DNA Chips, Scanners
BOSTON, Sept. 27 -- NEN Life Science Products and GSI Lumonics Inc. have agreed to jointly market DNA microarray systems and laser scanner systems on a global basis. The agreement covers marketing of NEN's MICROMAX Human cDNA microarray systems and GSI's ScanArray microarray scanning and analysis systems, which products are used in high-volume differential gene expression studies.
The MICROMAX and ScanArray product lines play highly complementary roles in molecular biology, genomics and life science research, said Dan Calvo, NEN's senior vice president of sales. The agreement enables NEN and GSI Lumonics to combine their substantial technical marketing expertise for greater coherence and penetration, providing a complete solution for our customers.
