Zygo Nabs $2M Lens Assemblies Order
The Optical Systems Div. of Zygo Corp. has received a $2 million order from a major medical device manufacturer to provide high-precision objective lens assemblies used in ophthalmic laser surgery.
The order is part of a new customer program, for which assemblies will be developed by the company’s Electro-Optics group and manufactured in its Tucson, Ariz., facility.
Zygo supplies optical metrology instruments, precision optics and electro-optical design and manufacturing services for the semiconductor capital equipment, biomedical, scientific and industrial markets.
