LED systems and laser modules manufacturer !%ProPhotonix Ltd.%! of Salem, N.H., will distribute two new high-power laser diodes from !%10774%%Opnext%!, an optical technology provider based in Fremont, Calif. Opnext’s HL40023MG high-power, 404-nm, 500-mW violet laser diode is suitable for biomedical illumination and optical lithography applications. The HL45023TG model, the first in a family of blue laser diodes in development, was designed to meet the demands of mobile pico projector applications. It is suitable for use in fluorescence and sensing applications. It provides 60 mW of optical output power at 445 nm, while consuming low power.
