Intevac Photonics Receives $9M Contract from Navair
Intevac Photonics, a subsidiary of Intevac Inc., has received a $9.6 million indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract from the US Navy’s Naval Air Systems Command (Navair) Warfare Center.
The contract covers Intevac’s ongoing performance improvements of the ISIE 4000 four-megapixel digital night vision sensors for various Navy aircraft platforms. The sensor is based on the company’s patented electron bombarded active pixel sensor design of digital imaging sensors for extreme low-light-level detection.
The award represents a five-year base contract with additional options. The company’s initial delivery order was for $1.9 million within the IDIQ award.
Intevac Photonics develops and manufactures high sensitivity imaging products, vision systems, and tabletop and handheld Raman instruments for the military, industrial, medical and scientific industries.
