Silvernail to Replace Kingsley as Idex CEO

Andrew Silvernail will succeed Larry Kingsley as chief executive officer of Idex Corp., the company announced.

Effective Aug. 10, Silvernail will also serve on Idex’s board of directors. Having joined the company in 2009, he most recently held the position of vice president and group executive, leading three of the company’s business segments.

Kingsley, who is leaving the company to join Pall Corp. as CEO, will remain as chairman of the board to facilitate an orderly transition of leadership. He will step down from this role by Dec. 31, 2011.

Recent changes at Idex also include the acquisition of laser and optical equipment manufacturer CVI Melles Griot for $400 million in cash. (See: Idex to Acquire CVI Melles Griot for $400M and Idex Announces Close of CVI Acquisition)
