Longtime Sun Microsystems Exec Joins Oclaro Board

Industry veteran Marissa Peterson was appointed to the board of directors at optical communications and laser solutions provider Oclaro Inc., the company announced.

Peterson brings 17 years of management and operational experience at Sun Microsystems Inc. of Santa Clara, Calif., where she served as executive vice president of worldwide operations, services and customer advocacy. She retired in 2005.

Peterson also serves on the board of directors for Ansell Ltd., Humana, Quantros and the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital in Stanford.
