LBT Adds 3 to Management Team

Concurrent with the closing of its largest financing to date, Light-Based Technologies (LBT) Inc. announced the addition of three executives to its senior management team.

Art Aylesworth joins the company as chief executive officer, bringing more than 25 years of experience in the technology industry. Prior to his current position, he served as CEO of Carmanah Technologies.

With experience leading early-stage companies through market adoption and commercialization, Matthew Watson was appointed chief operating officer. Previously he worked for Carmanah Technologies and ACD Systems.

Product development, engineering and operations management veteran Barry Hagglund has joined the company as its new chief technical officer. Previously, Hagglund worked at PMC-Sierra, Fujitsu and Nortel.

The aforementioned financing represents the recently closed majority of the funding led by Chrysalix Energy Venture Capital and VantagePoint Capital Partners and announced by LBT last fall. This funding provides allows the company to commercialize LED-related technologies, products and intellectual property as it releases its first products into the market in the coming weeks.

Light-Based Technologies develops and manufactures control and power electronic solutions for LED-based solid-state lighting.
