Kaul to Lead EPMD Program at NSF
Dr. Anupama B. Kaul has joined the National Science Foundation’s Electrical, Communications and Cyber Systems Div. as its new program director in Electronics, Photonics and Magnetic Devices (EPMD), the foundation announced.
Kaul comes to the organization from the Jet Propulsion Labs (JPL) at the California Institute of Technology, where she managed interdisciplinary research programs in nanomaterials and devices for sensing, electronics and optical applications. Prior to JPL, she worked at Motorola Labs, where she conducted research on radio- frequency MEMS switches and components derived from organic materials on flexible substrates.
In her new position, Kaul will lead the EPMD program, which seeks to improve the fundamental understanding of devices and components based on the principles of micro- and nanoelectronics, photonics, magnetics, optoelectronics, electromechanics, electromagnetics and related physical phenomena.
