Dynasil Promotes Shah to Lead RMD Unit
Dr. Kanai S. Shah will become president of Radiation Monitoring Devices (RMD) Inc., the wholly owned subsidiary of Dynasil Corp. of America, the companies announced. The promotion is effective Jan. 1, 2012.
The current vice president and leader of the Material Science Group at RMD, Shah will succeed Dr. Gerald Entine, founder and president of the company. Entine will continue as a member of Dynasil’s board of directors and in January will assume the role of president emeritus of RMD.
Shah joined RMD in 1985 as a staff scientist and was initially involved in a program aimed to stabilize low-energy x-ray detectors for NASA. Currently, he is responsible for semiconductor and scintillator development.
Dynasil Corp. of America develops and manufactures detection and analysis technology, precision instruments and optical components for the homeland security, industrial and biomedical markets.
