OSA Launches ‘Internship Gateway’
The Optical Society (OSA) has announced the launch of an “Internship Gateway” to its job board website, WORKinOPTICS.com.
The site, which already helps connect optics and photonics companies to job seekers, will provide a new path for students to gain real-world experience in their chosen fields. In addition, companies will benefit by gaining valuable assistance and the opportunity to evaluate students for potential full-time employment.
Through the site, students can search from a portfolio of internship opportunities posted by companies in the optics and photonics industry. They also can post resumes online so that companies can search for them.
The Internship Gateway provides opportunities for students in two-year technical programs, four-year colleges and universities, and master’s and doctoral programs, as well as for a range of corporations.
To get started, students and companies are encouraged to visit:
http://www.WORKinOPTICS.com/internships.aspx. The service is free to all students and OSA corporate members. Non-OSA members may post openings for a small fee.
