Cymer Names Farrar Director of Lithography Applications

Cymer Inc. has named Nigel Farrar, formerly of Hewlett-Packard, as director of lithography applications for the company. As head of this new department, which was created to explore critical factors involved in the lithography process, Farrar will lead Cymer's efforts to better understand chipmaker requirements and to develop cost-effective, value-added light source solutions. Working with Cymer's four wavelength product development teams, Farrar will help to ensure that the company delivers current and next-generation light source solutions that serve the needs of the semiconductor industry.
