Photonics, Optics Certifications Available

The Electronics Technicians Association International of Greencastle, Ind., has created photonics technician and precision optics technician certification programs. They were developed by the Florida Photonics Cluster trade association, in cooperation with companies, educational institutions and individual photonics professionals, in response to the growth potential for optics and photonics technician jobs. They will provide education and training for those interested in becoming skilled technicians. The photonics technician certification is available in operator and specialist levels, and the precision optics technician certification, in journeyman and senior levels.
