DuPont Acquires Innovalight
DuPont of Wilmington, Del., has acquired Innovalight Inc. of Sunnyvale, Calif., a provider of silicon inks and process technologies that increase the efficiency of crystalline silicon solar cells. Silicon inks from DuPont Innovalight boost the amount of electricity produced from sunlight, enabling production of better selective-emitter solar cells. DuPont exceeded $1 billion in revenue from sales in the photovoltaics market in 2010 and has set a goal to reach $2 billion by 2014.
