JK Lasers Launches kW-class Fiber Lasers

JK lasers, a subsidiary of GSI Group Inc., recently launched its line of 1-kW fiber laser systems, the JK1000FL.

The lasers eliminate laborious system load and unload times to maximize productivity, a benefit during the manufacture of large, complex parts where high throughput is needed despite significant jigging and fit-up times. Their energy-sharing feature helps avoid the distortion of sensitive, high-tolerance components by simultaneously welding onto multiple locations on one part.

The fiber laser also can be used with a proprietary range of process tools to offer plug-and-play capabilities and backreflection protection.

JK Lasers also supplies Nd:YAG, Q-switched and gas lasers, and associated tools.
