Laser Components Pens Contract with Polymicro Technologies

Laser Components signed a distribution agreement with optical fibers manufacturer Polymicro Technologies that applies to all German-speaking countries and territories.

The agreement, which will commence Dec. 1, 2011, was signed by James P. Clarkin, Polymicro’s general manager.

“This (agreement) has significantly enhanced our product portfolio,” said Patrick Paul, managing director of Laser Components. “For example, we are now in a position to offer hollow waveguides designed for CO2 as well as Er:YAG lasers, which helps us increase our potential market.”

Additional new products, including ultraviolet fibers, will be announced in the coming months.
