Infinera Establishes Russian Entity
Digital optical communications systems provider !%Infinera%! of Sunnyvale, Calif., has established a base in Moscow to focus on marketing and sales operations, and on working with local partners to expand its manufacturing presence and capabilities in the region. The company said that its new entity, Infinera Russia, was created to support telecom carriers and service providers in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States. RETN, a Russian wholesale telecom carrier and Infinera customer, recently upgraded its pan-European optical network with the latest generation of the Infinera Line System. The network extends from Moscow to London.
