The sensors, which are being integrated into the Galaxy Ace, Galaxy Gio, Galaxy Mini and Galaxy Neo models, are used in smartphone displays to adapt the display brightness to the current light environment and to control the display and touchscreen on/off status when the phone is held to the ear.
