JDSU’s Koffman Elected to QuEST Board

Ken Koffman, vice president of global business quality for the Communications Test and Measurement Div. of JDSU, has been named to the executive board of QuEST Forum. JDSU is the first communications test company elected to the board.

QuEST Forum is a global association of communications equipment manufacturers and service providers dedicated to the betterment of industrywide network performance.

Koffman joined JDSU’s senior management team earlier this year. He oversees the creation and optimization of all business processes and the measurement systems that drive improvement and customer satisfaction.

As a member of the executive board, Koffman will help drive the continuous development and implementation of the TL 9000 quality management system, a set of global standards designed to safeguard the quality of communications services and products worldwide. JDSU uses the TL 9000 as the basis for its Communications Test Div.

TL 9000 requires registrants to submit performance measurement results into a data repository for each of its products and services. Output from the repository provides benchmarking information for more than 130 unique product categories. Companies can use these industry metrics to calibrate their competitiveness within their organizations.

JDSU markets technologies that enhance the way people experience the world through its three business segments: Communications Test and Measurement, Communications and Commercial Optical Products and Advanced Optical Technologies.
