Former JDSU CTO to Advise Lightwave Logic
Former JDSU chief technology officer Fred J. Leonberger has been named a senior adviser to Lightwave Logic Inc.
Leonberger, who also served as senior vice president at JDSU from 1999 until his retirement in June 2003, is the founder and principal of EOvation Advisors LLC of Hartford, Conn., a technology and business advisory firm that he founded in 2003. He also serves on the boards of several venture-funded photonics companies and has been a senior adviser to the MIT Center for Integrated Photonic Systems.
Lightwave Logic anticipates that Leonberger will help facilitate the development and introduction of photonic products, targeting proprietary applications in telecom and data communications.
The company develops next-generation nonlinear optical polymer materials for high-speed fiber optic telecom and data communications applications.
