Lambert Sr. recounted the company’s more than 50 years in the optics industry and its need to expand into a facility more than twice the size of the previous one. Lambert Jr. explained the new facility’s features, including custom tailoring for the manufacture, coating and assembly of optics and optical components. Other announcements included the company’s plan to reach out to the educational community through field trips for local elementary and high school students and through internships for college students. Precision Optical was congratulated for bringing jobs, investment and revenue to the city.

In addition, Randolph spoke of plans to grow and to expand the company’s product base by offering lens manufacturing and assembly, and infrared optics and coatings. The Lambert family cut the ribbon to conclude the ceremony.

The new facility is located at 320 Kalmus Drive.
