Jenoptik Wins Display Order in Asia

The Optical Systems Div. of Jenoptik received a multimillion-euro optical systems order for flat panel display equipment from an undisclosed Asian customer. Terms of the order were not disclosed.

Jenoptik’s systems have been developed and will be integrated into a new production system, it said. The order will be delivered this year.

The display order further strengthens the division’s market position developing customized optical and micro-optic systems in the semiconductor and flat panel display segments, Jenoptik said.

The Optical Systems Div. manufactures optical, micro-optical and coated optical components made of optical glasses, infrared materials and polymers for beam-shaping applications used in the semiconductor and laser materials processing industries.
