Endoscope manufacturer !%Optim%! LLC of Sturbridge, Mass., has acquired Precision Endoscopic Technologies, formerly Max Endoscopy of Mentor, Ohio. The new company, called Precision Endoscopic Technologies LLC, will operate as a division of Optim and will be collocated at its headquarters in Sturbridge. Precision manufactures a patented infrared coagulation system that has FDA 510(k) clearance for the remediation and treatment of hemorrhoids. The system operates through the working channel of most GI endoscopes used for colonoscopies and sigmoidoscopies.
