Renishaw Opens New Subsidiary in Mexico
The metrology and spectroscopy company Renishaw opened a new subsidiary to directly support its expanding customer base in Mexico and Central America.
Alejandro Silva C., the founder and former owner of Metric Precision Group of Mexico, a distributor of Renishaw’s metrology products, will serve as director and general manager of the new operation.
“We see significant potential for our business in Mexico, where sectors such as automotive and electronics are showing good growth,” said Ben Taylor, Renishaw’s assistant chief executive. “These are all industries in which our products can make a real difference to manufacturing efficiency and quality.”
The new subsidiary will focus its efforts on promoting and supporting the company’s full range of technologies for motion control, measuring systems and machine tools, Taylor said.
