EOIR Nabs Share of Army Sensor Contract
System design and development company EOIR Technologies Inc., a portfolio company of The White Oak Group, was one of six prime contractors selected by the US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC) Night Vision and Electronics Sensors Directorate (NVESD) to provide engineering support and technology assistance under the Warrior Enabling Broad Sensor (WEBS) support contract.
The $1.78 billion contract will provide sensor technology engineering, administrative and operations support, field technology assistance, test and evaluation, and engineering support and services for night-vision and electronic sensor systems.
The research and development performed by CERDEC NVESD provides US land forces with advanced sensor technology for the digital battlefield. It has introduced numerous optical electronics and thermal imaging innovations for weapons targeting, electronic surveillance and other mission-critical military applications.
The White Oaks Group of Atlanta is a private investment firm that focuses on aerospace and defense, health care technology, environmental and alternative energy, and power solutions.
