!%Renishaw Inc.%! of Hoffman Estates, Ill., has opened a subsidiary in San Pedro Garza García, Mexico, to support its expanding customer base there and in Central America. The unit will be managed by Alejandro Silva C., formerly the owner of Metric Precision Group, a Mexican distributor of Renishaw’s metrology products. Renishaw specializes in measurement, motion control, spectroscopy and precision machining. “We see significant potential for our business in Mexico, where sectors such as automotive and electronics are showing good growth,” said Ben Taylor, Renishaw’s assistant chief executive.
