Global Lighting Association Formed

To represent the more than 5000 lighting manufacturers and $50 billion in annual sales, the global lighting industry has formed the Global Lighting Association. Founded in 2007 as the Global Lighting Forum, the new association represents the same members but with a renewed focus and commitment to shaping how the world is illuminated. Its goal is to share information, within the limits of competition law, on scientific, social, environmental, political and business issues related to the industry. The association will focus its efforts in 2012 on energy efficiency, LED performance quality and innovation.
