Norman Edmund Inspiration Award Launched
Optical components manufacturer !%Edmund Optics%! of Barrington, N.J., has established the Norman Edmund Inspiration Award to honor the contributions made by founder Norman Edmund toward advancing the science of optics. The $5000 product award will be presented to one of the three 2012 first-place prize recipients of the company’s worldwide higher education grant program. It will be given to the college or university optics program in science, technology, engineering or mathematics that best embodies the legacy of Norman Edmund, who died earlier this year. The winner will be announced Oct. 10.
