Semiconductor Laser InternationalAnnounces Third Quarter Results

BINGHAMTON, N.Y., Nov. 29 -- Semiconductor Laser International Corp. has reported revenues of $441,560 for the third quarter ended September 30, 1999. Revenues for the third quarter of 1998 were $600,110. SLI reported a net loss from operations of $718,186 in the third quarter of 1999, compared with a net loss of $1,141,580 in the same period of the prior year. Net loss applicable to common stock for the third quarter of fiscal 1999 was five cents per share, compared with a loss of 11 cents per share one year earlier, when the company reported approximately 3,437,077 fewer shares outstanding.
For the nine months ended September 30, 1999, SLI reported revenues of $1,103,107, which results compare with the $1,375,016 recorded in the same period in 1998. SLI also reported a net loss from operations of $2,773,611 for the first nine months of fiscal 1999, as compared with the net loss of $3,182,861 announced one year earlier. The net loss applicable to common stock for the first nine months of 1999 was 22 cents per share, compared with a loss of 35 cents per share for the same period in the prior year, when there were approximately 3,296,396 fewer shares outstanding.
