Princeton Instruments Appoints 2 to Sales Team

Ravi Guntupalli and Dr. Brian Smith were appointed to Princeton Instruments’ sales and marketing team.

A member of the scientific camera company’s marketing team for the past 12 years, Guntupalli was promoted to vice president of sales and marketing. His previous positions at the company were applications scientist and product manager for the scientific imaging group.

To increase its depth in the spectroscopy sector, the company hired Smith as an applications specialist for its spectroscopy group. Smith brings to the position more than 30 years of experience as an industrial spectroscopist. Prior to joining the company, he worked at Spectros Associates, and before that he was an applications chemist at the Digilab Div. of Bio-Rad. He has also been employed at AT&T Bell Labs, Xerox and IBM.

Princeton Instruments, a fully owned subsidiary of Roper Industries, designs and manufactures scientific cameras, spectrographs and optics-based solutions for the industrial imaging, scientific research and OEM communities.
