CAO Group Inc.

!%CAO Group Inc.%! of West Jordan, Utah, has filed a lawsuit in US District Court against dental laser company Biolase Technology Inc. of Irvine, Calif., alleging patent infringement of Biolase’s ezlase diode laser, the California company has announced. The only claimed novelty of the single asserted patent pertains to how excessive fiber is stored and does not relate to the actual design, features or functions of the ezlase laser. The ezlase, used by dentists and hygienists to whiten teeth, also has FDA 510(k) clearance for pain relief and for therapy in sports medicine, orthopedics, physical therapy and chiropractic medicine applications.
