Trumpf Expands Disk Laser Production into Japan
Laser manufacturer Trumpf has opened an Asian production facility for disk lasers at Trumpf Japan in Yokohama. The location is the company’s third disk laser production site.
The strong international appeal for disk lasers generated the company’s need for the new facility.
“Disk lasers are in high demand — especially when integrated into our TruLaser Cell 8030 multiaxis laser cutting system, which was designed specifically for the hot-formed cutting market,” said Dr. Christof Lehner, general manager of Trumpf Laser Technology Center in Plymouth, Mich.
Besides the expansion of disk laser technology in the Japanese market, the new site will enable the company to better respond to the requirements of customers in Japan.
