IPG Photonics Appoints Veeco CEO to Board
Veeco Instruments Inc. CEO John R. Peeler has joined the IPG Photonics Corp. board of directors, the fiber laser company announced Thursday.
The addition of Peeler, who will serve on the compensation committee, temporarily expands the board to 10 members until the 2013 annual shareholders meeting, IPG said.
Peeler joined Veeco in July 2007 and was named board chairman in May 2012. Prior to that, he served as president and CEO of TTC, which evolved into Acterna and was acquired by JDSU in 2005. (See:

IPG also said that Dr. William F. Krupke, who served on the board for 12 years, is leaving when his term ends.
