Idex Adds Board Member

David Parry has been appointed to Idex Corp.’s board of directors, the applied solutions company announced Monday.

Parry is vice chairman of Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW) and is responsible for strategic sourcing and innovation for the company’s welding, construction, food equipment and consumer packaging businesses. He is also responsible for its technology center.

Prior to ITW, he held a variety of general management roles at international chemical manufacturer ICI.
