Precision Photonics, ATFilms Brands Merge

Advanced Thin Films, a unit of Idex Optics & Photonics, has announced that the brands and capabilities for Precision Photonics and ATFilms have fused under one roof.

Now the united team will deliver its advanced coatings, optical monitoring technology, proprietary optical bonding and polished substrates from its fully operational Boulder location.

In addition to merging brands, ATFilms has reorganized its management team to align the facility’s leadership with the growing market, the company said. The team is led by General Manager Joe Stupfel.

Advanced Thin Films, founded in July 2002, manufactures precision laser mirrors, optical coatings and assemblies. ATFilms became a unit of Idex Corp. in January 2011 and joined with Precision Photonics in June 2012 to form Advanced Thin Films LLC.
