Universal Photonics Acquires Aquabond
Universal Photonics has expanded its portfolio of eco-safe, water-soluble thermoplastic adhesives with the asset acquisition of Aquabond Technologies.
The acquisition transfers the production, sale and distribution of California-based Aquabond’s full line of thermoplastic adhesives and cleaning agents to Universal Photonics, a provider of equipment and supplies for precision optics manufacturing.
Suitable for a variety of surfacing applications, Universal Photonics’ nonhazardous, temporary adhesives resist thermal expansion, retain flexibility and clean up easily without the use of chemicals. They can bond quartz, fused silica, garnet, sapphire, ceramics, BK7 and other single-crystal hard materials.
