nLight Expands Fiber Laser Development Team
nLight Corp. has expanded its fiber laser development team with the appointment of Dahv Kliner as director of fiber laser product development.
Kliner brings to his new role more than 15 years of experience in high-power fiber lasers, and has developed key enabling technologies for both pulsed and continuous-wave fiber sources. He most recently led JDSU’s commercial kW fiber laser program. Before that, he headed Sandia National Laboratories’ fiber laser program and developed pulsed fiber lasers for a variety of applications.
“Dahv has significant expertise in high-power fiber laser product development and manufacturing,” said Vice President and General Manager Jake Bell. “His background is well matched to our expanding portfolio of laser products.”
nLight supplies direct-diode, diode-pumped solid-state and fiber lasers for advanced materials processing, defense and medical applications.
