Edmund Industrial Optics Strengthens Leadership
BARRINGTON, N.J., Dec. 17 -- Edmund Scientific Co. has announced plans to bolster the leadership of its Industrial Optics division. John Stack, who serves currently as executive vice president of Edmund Industrial Optics, is to be promoted to president of the division, effective January 1, 2000. Edmund Industrial Optics' current president, Frank S. DiMinno Jr., will become senior advisor.
Formed in 1984, Edmund Industrial Optics is a privately held company providing imaging systems, optical components, and design and manufacturing services to industrial, scientific and OEM customers. Frank has been instrumental in the growth of the Industrial Optics division to the point where it now represents 80 percent of the revenue for Edmund Scientific, stated Robert Edmund, chairman and CEO of Edmund Scientific Co. But with Frank nearing retirement, we wanted strong leadership at the top of Edmund Industrial Optics to insure continued commitment to serving our customers. John Stack has the technical skills, business acumen and vision to take Industrial Optics to the next level, Edmund concluded.
