OCLI Shows Quarterly Gain
SANTA ROSA, Calif., Dec. 20 -- Optical Coating Laboratory Inc. (OCLI) reported revenues of $103.4 million for the fourth quarter of 1999, an increase of 47 percent over 1998 fourth-quarter revenues of $70.5 million. Results for the fourth quarter of 1998 include revenues of $2.8 million reported by the company's MMG division, which was sold at the beginning of fiscal 1999.
Income from operations for the fourth quarter of fiscal 1999 totaled $15.4 million, compared with a loss from operations of $1.6 million in the same quarter of the prior year. Net income applicable to common stock for the fourth quarter of fiscal 1999 was $10.2 million, or 65 cents per share on a diluted basis, compared with a net loss applicable to common stock of$727,000, or six cents per share, one year earlier.
