JDS Uniphase Completes Acquisition of SIFAM

NEPEAN, Ontario, Canada, Dec. 20 -- JDS Uniphase Corp. has completed its acquisition of UK-based SIFAM Ltd. SIFAM produces fused components that split, combine, and filter light in optical fiber. Many of SIFAM's products are components employed in optical amplifiers, such as WDM couplers and gain-flattening filters.
