Throckmorton to Lead Global Engineering at Ocean Optics
Ocean Optics has named Dr. Jeff Throckmorton as vice president of global engineering for its optical sensing products and appointed him to the board of directors.
Throckmorton will be responsible for increasing the company’s line of spectrometers, chemical sensors, analytical instrumentation and accessories through internal engineering and open innovation initiatives.
Previously, he was vice president of technology at Eltron Research & Development Co. and held multiple positions with subsidiaries of Danaher Corp., including as vice president of global innovation for Hach-Lange, as vice president of R&D for Hach and as president of Hach Homeland Security Technologies. He also has held positions at HF Scientific Inc. and at BTG Process Control Sensors Inc.
