JDSU’s Heard Named to Telecom Industry Board
The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) has named David Heard, JDSU’s president of communications test and measurement, to its board of directors.
Over the next two years, Heard will contribute to the strategic direction, technology and market pursuits of the association and will advocate for its interests in telecommunications, government and international settings.
Heard has more than 20 years of senior executive experience with a number of TIA member companies in the global information and communications technology (ICT) industry, said TIA President Grant Sieffert.
“The pace of change happening in communications is unprecedented, and never has there been a more critical time to ensure that the industry works together to stay ahead,” Heard said. “I am honored to join the board and represent the TIA on many important initiatives that ultimately advance the way people connect and communicate around the world.”
The TIA trade organization represents the global ICT and high-tech network industries through standards development, policy initiatives, business opportunities, market intelligence and networking events.
