Hühn Named Element Six CEO

Walter Hühn, executive director of the Advanced Materials and Technologies divisions at Element Six, has been appointed the company’s CEO, effective March 8.

Hühn joined Element Six, the synthetic diamond division of the De Beers Group, in 2008 to lead the Advanced Materials Div. and became director of the Technologies segment in 2011.

Hühn has held a number of roles across the telecommunications and information technology industry, including serving as director of major account business at Fujitsu Computers and as managing director of Motorola Germany.

He will divide his time between London and Frankfurt and will be appointed to the De Beers Group executive committee.
