Intevac Photonics Receives Follow-On Order for Camera Modules
Intevac Photonics, a subsidiary of Intevac Inc., has received a follow-on order from an undisclosed NATO customer for digital night vision camera modules.
The systems will be delivered through 2014, bringing the total to more than 6000 units ordered, with more than 5000 shipped to date.
The modules incorporate Intevac’s patented sensor design, which uses EBAPS (electron-bombarded active pixel sensor) technology to produce digital imaging sensors and cameras for extreme low-light-level detection.
“This is the largest ground-force deployment for our digital night vision camera module,” said Drew Brugal, executive vice president and general manager of Intevac Photonics.
