PixelTeq Adds 2 VPs

PixelTeq, formerly Ocean Thin Films, has added two semiconductor optics veterans to its management team, the maker of spectral filters, sensors and imaging products announced this week.

Stewart Feld has been appointed vice president of operations, and Dave Fish was promoted from senior electro-optic engineer to vice president of technology.

Feld, who has more than 15 years of experience in optical research labs and semiconductor manufacturing, has a PhD in electrical engineering. Previously, he worked for companies including Picolight/JDS Uniphase, and JDSU. He began his career making advanced semiconductor lasers at the Air Force Research Laboratory and has designed cleanrooms and managed operations for several semiconductor companies. He holds five patents and is the author of more than 30 technical publications.

As vice president of operations, he will lead the ongoing production and process improvements for PixelTeq's micropatterned coating technology on wafers and active devices.

Fish, a 30-year engineering veteran, previously held key technology roles at companies including Hughes-JVC Technology and Imed Corp. At PixelTeq, he helped develop the SpectroCam and PixelCam spectral cameras, PixelSensor multiband photodiodes, and numerous custom micropatterned filter arrays and devices. As vice president of technology, he will continue to innovate and expand on similar products, the company said.
